GSCM Leadership Talk Series – #5 – Leading through resolution

“GSCM Leadership Talk Series – #5 – Leading through resolution” organised by the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management Programme, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, co-organized by Policy Research Institute of Global Supply Chain, HSUHK and Hong Kong Institute of Engineers – Logistics and Transport Division (HKIE LTD), and supported by Hong Kong Sea Transport Logistics Association (HKSTLA) and Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA) was held on 24 March 2022 (Thursday) via Zoom.

 

The seminar attracted over 280 students and industry practitioners to participate.

 

Mr. Lianjun LI, Partner of ReedSmith Richards Butler LLP, has been invited as the guest speaker to share his view on the latest trend of litigation and arbitration under the development of smart transport. Dr. Eugene Wong, Associate Professor of the HSUHK and Ms. Regina Li, Lecturer of HSUHK have moderated the talk.

 

In the theme discussion session, Mr. Li and Regina discussed several important topics, such as the Legal liabilities of cyber attack on maritime operations and relevant guidelines, the Legal risks on the use of technologies, e.g. AI, IoT, VR and the Legal cases about disputes about technological disruption on maritime operations. The discussion provides a lot of insights to the audiences. The participants actively raised questions in the Q&A session. Everyone gained a lot from this valuable and fruitful sharing in the Global Supply Chain Leadership Talk.
