“GSCM Leadership Talk Series – #7 – Leading through Caring” organised by the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management Programme, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, co-organized by Policy Research Institute of Global Supply Chain, HSUHK and Hong Kong Institute of Engineers – Logistics and Transport Division (HKIE LTD), was held on 13 Oct 2022 (Thursday) at the Fung Yiu King Hall, HSUHK campus.
The seminar attracted over 170 students and industry practitioners to participate. To kick-start, our guest speaker, Mr. Billy WONG, Managing Director, Greater China of Crown Worldwide Group shared his views on the challenges and outlook in leading and connecting people, technology and environment for logistics business in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area.
Following the sharing was a theme discussion session moderated by Dr. Eugene WONG, Associate Professor of HSUHK and Mr. Alan LO, Lecturer of HSUHK. The discussed topics include i) leading Crown Logistics business units with its core values under changes in immigration waves and pandemic impact; ii) how to drive technological and environmental changes and; iii) Outlook on logistics and supply chain in the development of Greater Bay Area initiatives, which provide a lot of insights to the audiences. Many audiences seized the rare opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A session.
Participants enjoyed and gained a lot from this valuable and fruitful sharing in the Global Supply Chain Leadership Talk.
