“GSCM Leadership Talk #8 – Leading through Managing Risk” organized by the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management Programme, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, co-organized by Policy Research Institute of Global Supply Chain, and Hong Kong Institute of Engineers – Logistics and Transport Division, was held on 18 March 2024 (Mon) at the Fung Yiu King Hall, HSUHK Campus.

The seminar attracted over 100 students and industry practitioners to participate. Ms. Sally Wan, Chief Executive Officer, AXA Greater China, was invited to share her views on the outlook and challenges on maritime claims and insurance.

Following the sharing was a theme discussion session moderated by Dr. Eugene WONG, Associate Professor of HSUHK, and Ms. Regina LI, Lecturer of HSUHK. The discussed topics included the global cargo insurance business and its risk management and the impact of Red Sea Yemen’s Houthis attack and war on cargo insurance. Participants gained a lot from this valuable sharing in the Global Supply Chain Leadership Talk.
