Cathay Pacific has grown into one of the world’s leading combined cargo airlines and helped establish Hong Kong as the world’s busiest air cargo hub. All of Cathay Pacific’s cargo operations are grouped under its Cathay Pacific Cargo division.

A terminal visit to Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal was held on 28 September 2023. 19 students from the MSc in Global Supply Chain Management Programme attended the visit.

Students were given the opportunity to explore the fully automated materials handling system at the cargo terminal and learn about the operations of the container and bulk handling systems. Through this activity, students gained an in-depth understanding of the advanced technologies adopted in the terminal to facilitate the operational process.
