“GSCM Leadership Talk #10 – Leading through Inspiration – Future Supply Chain: How Sustainability and E-commerce Changing the Business Landscape” organized by the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management Programme (MSc-GSCM), The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), co-organized by Supply Chain Excellence and Innovation Centre (SEIC), and Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (HKIE) – Logistics and Transport Division, was held on 3 October 2024 (Thursday) at the Fung Yiu King Hall, HSUHK Campus.

The seminar attracted over 100 students and industry practitioners to participate. Mr Ivan Chu, Former Chairman of John Swire and Sons (China) Limited, Chief Executive of Cathay Pacific, and Executive Director of Swire Pacific Limited, was invited to share his insights on the challenges and opportunities brought by sustainability and e-commerce in transportation and logistics.

Following Ivan’s sharing, a theme discussion session was moderated by Dr Eugene WONG, Associate Professor of HSUHK, and Dr Collin WONG, Associate Professor of HSUHK. During the discussion, Mr Chu shared the strategies for leading international airline groups in dynamic and uncertain environments and his valuable experiences in the industry. Participants gained a lot from this valuable sharing in the Global Supply Chain Management Leadership Talk.
