Programme Orientation cum Cocktail Reception for New Students 2024
The MSc-GSCM Programme Orientation cum Cocktail Reception was held at the Harbour Grand Kowloon on 31 August 2024 (Sat), to welcome all new students for the 2024-25 academic year. Dr Stephen Ng, Department Head of Supply Chain and Information Management and Programme Director of MSc-GSCM Programme kicked off the event with welcome remarks. Followed by Professor Wai-sum Chan, Dean of School of Decision Sciences, delivered an encouraging welcome speech and gave an overview of the School.
Following the warm welcome, Dr Stephen Ng led nearly 70 participants, including freshmen, faculty members and programme advisors, to join the toasting ceremony and celebrate this important moment together. Afterwards, Dr Eugene Wong and Dr Danny Ho, MSc-GSCM Associate Programme Directors, provided students with valuable information about the study plan, programme curriculum, academic regulations, etc., to help students have a comprehensive understanding of the programme. Our alumni, Mr Thomas Ho, graciously shared his enriching learning experiences with the freshmen, instilling a sense of anticipation for their upcoming journey.
The orientation also provided a golden opportunity for new students to connect with each other through self-introduction and the ice-breaking games. Everyone participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the time spent together. The delightful day was filled with laughter, photo-taking and loads of catching up.
