“GSCM Leadership Talk Series – #6 – Leading through sustainability” organised by the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management Programme, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, co-organized by Policy Research Institute of Global Supply Chain, HSUHK and Hong Kong Institute of Engineers – Logistics and Transport Division (HKIE LTD), and supported by Hong Kong Sea Transport Logistics Association (HKSTLA), Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA), The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) and The Institute of Purchasing & Supply of Hong Kong (IPSHK) was held on 22 April 2022 (Friday) via Zoom.
The seminar attracted over 270 students and industry practitioners to participate. Our speaker, Mr. Ivor Chow, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong International Terminals (HIT) and moderators, Dr. Eugene WONG shared their views and discussed on the challenges in sustaining reliable terminals under chaos and disruptions of supply chain, the topics include the impacts of COVID-19 outbreak to Delta and Omicron variants on terminals, the keys in embracing an agile and innovative corporation and Hong Kong terminals roadmap ahead, which provide a lot of insights to the audiences. Lots of participants were very enthusiastic in the Q&A session.
